FY 22 Budget Increase for Arts & Culture

Get more information about all arts & culture advocacy from our partners at ArtPride.

In February, Governor Murphy proposed FY22 state appropriations representing a 60% increase in state funds over FY21

$31.9m for NJ State Council on the Arts,
$5.5m for NJ Historical Commission,
$17.6m for NJ Division of Travel & Tourism
$720k for NJ Cultural Trust

It is now up to the NJ State Legislature to consider the Governor’s budget proposal and present their version to the administration with the goal of passage by June 30.

Randy Campo

"SJCA is a non-organization with so much to offer the South Jersey art community. I am looking forward to learning the ins-and-outs of working for a non-profit arts organization while getting hands on experience through program and project management".

Erika Perez

"This internship with SJCA has given me the opportunity to learn and witness the necessary collaboration amongst community outreach, data management, and communication interns to reach our goal of highlighting the many unique cultural assets within South Jersey".
